Many people ask my opinion on what the best drum software on the market is… all I can say, is that it depends on what you need it for. This video should give you a clear understanding of where I stand on these titles. 1. EZdrummer (Practice, Quick Recording) I would recommend EZdrummer to anyone who needs something to sound great without spending lots of time with a learning curve. GREAT for beginners, yet still works GREAT for seasoned players. 2. DrumCore 2.5 (Practice, Nice Recording …

It’s settled~ I’ll go with “EZdrummer, Superior Drummer 2.0, & Addictive drums”…Though I think I’ll use Addictive drums more since it is pretty more user friendly & e-drum frinedly, pretty fast, pretty damn good drum kits & pretty easy to use…thnx for the heads-up mikey..this helped allot…xD
What do you think about BATTERY ?
Thankyou for this Video
Thank you so much Mike. I’m a pro guitarist/singer/engineer etc. This is the video I’ve been looking for. Thanks for taking the time. Greatly appreciated.
Mike, I like your style. I’ve been wanting to get back into drumming, again and had a question. I’d like to start a jazz method so my style is at least jazz influenced since i’ll never be a legit jazz player and wondered if you have suggestions for methods. I hear Peter Erkstine’s method is good. Any thoughts?
What about battery guy?
try addictive drums or BFD2 they are the most popular, or you can get samples to replace the kick and snare in ezdrummer
jesus.. write up a list in the discription, 1-5 so we dont have to hear crap like mj madonna etc..-.-
MDDRummer is the best.
Thanks – very positive and focused overview.
I have a Ddrum kit with Ddrum triggers on the rims. Can i use these software?
@VPTMikey-I play experimental death metal, and I have EZdrummer. My complaint is it’s a bit empty, I’d like something better. Any suggestions?
Acoustic drums are much more fun to play.
@MikeyVPT
Man, i’ve used EZ Drummer DFH to record some Death Metal songs, well the sound is not bad..but it’s WEAK!!! and what i mean by weak that even rising us the drums volume cannot do any good, i can barely hear the snare or the kick drum, i thought of equalizing it but no improvement, so Is it the software is not good enough for extreme heavy music?
hey mikey, great video!
one question;
what do you think about Steven Slate Drums?
Great video . thanks for the help!
You got it, buddy!

PS – Make sure you subscribe!
I would go with EZdrummer’s Drums From Hell, or SD2.0 Metal Foundry, or Addictive Drums.
Those would make your tracks Awesome!

Hey, i was wondering if you could help me?
What would you suggest as the best software for creating fast paced punk/hardcore drum tracks but without using any sort of midi input to control it? i.e. just manually programming the drum tracks but getting a real sound and having the option of alot of different kit makes/sounds?
Thanks
Hey Mikey, great work on all your videos!
Do you know if there’s a device to split the trigger signals so that I can run one batch into a Roland or Alesis DM and the other set into the computer for triggering software?
Or I guess I can just run the midi out from the modules into the computer, huh? Would that make it harder to match the midi notes if I wasn’t using that Alesis trigger I/O?
Hey Mikey thanx for demonstrating all thoese softweres it helped me a lot!
Thx again!
Hi Mikey.
I need a program where i can make dance kicks. Like the kick in: David guetta – love is gone
What would you recommend? thank you
Hey Mikey. Excellent video. Very informative and interesting. Nice one.
I’ve tried this! Check out my other videos. OF COURSE it’s a great idea
It’s just a great way of getting awesome sounds every time. Instead of setting up an acoustic kit, or wasting time with older module sounds.

Hi, I was thinking of using my electonic drum kit to trigger some drum sounds from one of these softwares so i can hopefully make more realistic sounding drum tracks.
Has anyone ever tried this, is it a good idea?
