Can you flat out just plug this thing into an guitar amplifier?
It has a standard midi out jack and no USB. Connections are stereo/phones output, mono output, footswitch input, and midi jack.
Does it have a MIDI output or USB? How many connections does it have?
Glad you liked the vid. That’s really not a glitch. Just how it’s set up on the MRT. To get a fluid change from one pattern to the next you’d go into the song mode and chain the patterns together.
That I’m not sure of. If used s simple footswitch to control the bass drum though.
silly question, but do you think it would be easy/possible to do double pedal with this machine?
Thanks for posting the demo – There seems to be a timing glitch when you change patterns? Does it not align the next pattern to play *after* the current pattern has finished rather than cutting in straight away?
thanks for the advice. and for $200, it doesn’t seem bad. i’ll look into it.
In one simple word…., NO
The MRT-3 is horrible for hip hop and electronica. If you want a Zoom drum machine for that they make the SB-246 (StreetBoxx)
do you think it would be okay for regular recordings? not just pratice. i’m talkin about hip hop and electronic.
For this vid I had it running through a basic set of computer speakers. You can run it through anything really. Lots of choices out there.
Do you run it through a small PA speaker? I want to get one but im not sure what i should run it through.
You’re welcome. Glad you liked it
Thanks so much for this vid – very helpful.
I’ve never used this type of setup with Cubase. The MRS-4 isn’t a new unit though. It’s actually a “discontiuned item”. I had an MRS-4 probably a good 7 years ago and used it with my MRT-3 (the silver MRT-3 and MRS-4 were made to go together as a pair years back). The two together were a cost effective recording pair for guitarists on a limited budget. I don’t know of anyone who used it with software applications though.
Hi!
The MRT-3, with the new Zoom MRS-4 is compatible with Cubase???
It has got a couple.., but I’m not sure if it’s enough to cover those styles. I’ve always felt it was more of a rockers drum machine.
Very informative. I want to use this to teach dance. Does it have symple rhythms such as waltz, cha-cha or rumba?
Thanks
G
Yes!
can the footswitch control tap tempo, start stop?
Economy is so so in this town
I keep trying to get my accountant (the wife) to help stimulate the economy here.., but that in itself can be a battle at times
One very positive thing I’ll say about the MRT-3 is that the sound is extremely clean and crisp. The sample rate is also above CD quality too. Overall a very good drum machine for under $100.., but I paid more for mine since my unit was purchased shortly after they were released.
how’s the economy going in squeaktown?
. it sounds a lot like my rt-223. a bit better actually. to be honest with you i can deal without the bass guitar sounds on mine.
